In it's native habitat of Australia, aboriginal people have been using tea tree leaves for generations for the healing of cuts, wounds and skin infections. It's antiseptic power is legendary as it it known to have 12 times the strength of phenol in it's immune-building properties.

It's uses are numerous and varied and include assisting with athletes foot, rashes, skin healing, sunburn, acne, boils, cold sores, fungal infections, insecticide, warts, and viral infections. Skin conditions such as psoriasis and dermatitis have been known to improve with the help of regular applications of diluted tea tree oil.

USES

Fragrant Room Freshener: Sprinkle a few drops over pot-pourri or onto a carrier oil in an oil burner to disinfect and sanitise the air.

Bath: Tea tree oil can also be used in your bath in quantities of 2 to 4 drops mixed into your shower gel. Add to the bath while the water is running.

Shower: Add 1 to 2 drops to shower gel and place it on your washcloth to wash your body.

Cleaning and Disinfecting: Place a few drops of tea tree oil on a cloth or into a bottle of water with a spray nozzle, to disinfectant and purify surfaces.

To make your own hand sanitiser, fill a 150 ml bottle to 75% with vodka, add water to fill and 20 to 30 drop of tea tree oil which adds to the anti-bacterial benefits of the product. Shake well before use.
