Humble Beginnings
In 2010, high in the mountains of the Klein Karoo's Koo Valley, the Provenance skin and body care range was born. Surrounded by the valley's stark beauty, hectares of fragrant lavender and rose geranium plants, grown from our home on Provenance Farm, served as the natural source of our range. Distilled into essential oils, the plants were then carefully crafted into the products that we still hand-make today from our shop in the seaside town of Hermanus.
Our Skin Care Philosophy
First, do no harm. The skin does an exceptional job of protecting us from the elements, but exposure to the sun’s rays as well as harsh chemicals can take their toll. It is for this reason that all our products use only the purest natural ingredients and are free from harmful additives such as sulphates, parabens, triclosan and formaldehyde. Your skin protects you from harm, so why not return the favour.
Not only are our products designed to protect, they also contain nourishing ingredients to help the skin maintain a youthful glow such as essential oils which can be found in almost all of our products. Not only do these oils add variety to our range with their wonderful fragrances, but also contain healing properties unique to each oil.
